WEALTHY PEOPLE HABITS
Read Every Day
Number one on the list of wealthy people habits is reading. Whether it be news, industry articles and/or nonfiction books, the wealthy know what’s going on in the world around them, and can talk about a lot of different subjects.
Take Part in Some Sort of Physical Activity
Physical activity can be walking, running, yoga or strength exercises. This helps clear the mind, keep the body in optimal working capacity in order to be at peak performance at work or running a business. Wealthy people think long term and making sure they are healthy is part of their overall plan. If you aren’t sure where to start, check out Beachbody.com. Eat Healthy
Wealthy people make sure they get a healthy dose of fruits and vegetables in their diet. Not to say they don’t indulge in forbidden desserts on occasion, or enjoy a nice glass of wine with dinner, but their overall diet is well-maintained for the most part. Cultivate Relationships
Knowing a lot of people and having strong relationships serve the wealthy well. These aren’t “fake” relationships either. They’ve been built over time with trust and loyalty. Why not start with the people you love the most and pick up a copy of The 5 Love Languages: The Secret to Love that Lasts.
Set Goals
Wealthy people have goals and know what they want to accomplish and by when. This includes daily goals. Usually, these goals have taken a written form at some point and are checked every so often to make sure they are on track.
Don’t Procrastinate
Wealthy people habits don’t include procrastination. Most of us put off until later what we don’t like doing. Wealthy people make a plan and figure out how to complete an important task. Maybe it’s having or hiring someone to do it for them, but it gets completed and on time.
Make Time for Family
The truly wealthy not only have healthy bank accounts, but healthy family lives as well.
Be Generous
With great wealth comes great responsibility. The truly wealthy are generous givers. This can come in the form of money, or time and advice. This is often a daily ritual.
Manage Time Wisely
Time is crucial in a wealthy person’s life and it needs to be used wisely. You won’t find wealthy people sitting in front of the television for hours, or surfing the internet unless it serves a purpose. They figure out how to make the most of their time. They don’t try to do everything themselves-they know how to delegate and trust in the people around them to get things done.
Laugh
That’s right…having a sense of humor and being able to laugh at yourself are likable traits. People like to spend time around as well as do business with someone who makes them feel comfortable, can make them laugh, and truly make them feel like a friend.
Spend Money Wisely
The wealthy not only spend money wisely but also look for value. The purchases of wealthy people are usually planned out and researched. They look for value in exchange for their money. Need a great budgeting tool? Try Dave Ramsey’s EveryDollar. There’s a free and paid version.
Be Curious
The wealthy people I know are truly interested in many different things and are always looking to learn more. They aren’t experts in everything but they have an insatiable thirst for knowledge. They will be interested in what you do or what you know and they will ask a lot of questions.
