I received an email today from a coffee house called, “It’s A Grind” in Paoli, PA. It’s a place I go to every so often. They offered me a free 16 oz. specialty coffee of the day, or espresso beverage because it’s my birthday on February 28th. Since I signed up to be on their mailing list, I’m getting this free perk.
Being a coffee kind of gal, I’m definitely going to take them up on their offer for a free beverage. Sorry Starbucks! Even a diehard, tall, non-fat, no-whip mocha girl like myself can be persuaded to cheat on you when a free drink is dangled in front of my face! I hope there are no hard feelings; after all, it’s just one free drink at a place I go to every once in a while when I’m in that part of town, and the Starbucks’ three-car parking lot is full (that’s right, I said three-car parking lot). Actually, I do like “It’s A Grind.” Not only is the parking lot easy to get into and out of, the counter folks are really nice. As an example, the guy taking my order the other day looked through his cash drawer for a California quarter when I told him that was the last quarter my son needed to round out his state quarter collection.
Anyway, it seems that I’m getting away from my topic of eating and drinking for free on my birthday. I wrote a post in December titled, “Eat For Free On Your Birthday And More.” This turned out to be a popular post. I didn’t pay all that much attention to all of the places that I can eat for free on my birthday because frankly, when I wrote the post, my birthday was still two months away. Now that my birthday is next week, I’m going to check it out again.
If you want to sign up for free eats on your birthday, check out my post, “Eat For Free On Your Birthday And More.”
By the way….Starbucks did send me a coupon for a free drink on my birthday. Thanks Starbucks!
