Only a hand full of authors have inspired me over the years, and the late Jim Rohn is definitely one of them. It’s quite possible that this book could change your life.
You can sum up Jim’s philosophy with this one quote: “If you work hard on your job, you make a living. If you work hard on yourself, you can make a fortune.”
When Jim was 25, he learned an interesting economics axiom. This axiom stated that we get paid for bringing value to the marketplace. The general idea is that no matter who you are, if you bring value to the marketplace, you will be rewarded.
This was just the beginning of Jim’s discovery. He also learned a two-part, life changing fact. Number one, you will get paid for bringing value to the marketplace, and number two you will get paid for what you become.
What a powerful discovery! If someone took the book away from me at this point (which by the way Jim reveals these facts in the beginning of the book) and told me I could never read another word of it, I would be left craving more, but satisfied just the same for being privy to those words of wisdom.
Jim’s book is so filled with eye-opening, ah-ha moments that by the last chapter, you will have re-evaluated your entire way of thinking about how to achieve success in your own life.
