Men’s Health Magazine had an article in their June issue on how to make some quick cash. Maybe like me, you’ve heard of a couple of these websites, and others, you haven’t. I’m always looking for new ways to earn a few bucks as my “Mocha Money,” and I know I’ll be using a couple of these websites to do just that. Feel free to add additional quick cash websites in the comments section.
SWAGBUCKS: Earn Swag Bucks for taking online company surveys, viewing online tutorial videos, and using Swagbucks’ unique search engine. Trade the digital currency for the real stuff, in the form of gift cards and PayPal credit. Yes, the work can be boring, but one survey can pay up to $50.
WE REWARD: This iPhone and Android app works like Foursquare, but you earn points instead of badges. Points are worth a penny, and you can collect them by checking in or for doing simple tasks, like posting a pic of you drinking a Starbucks coffee.
You can also trade in your points for cash — sometimes as much as $50 — depending on how often you use the app.
MICROWORKERS: Companies want Facebook likes, YouTube votes, and positive tweets — so much so that they’re willing to pay a dime or more per “micro job” if you help them boost their social media presence with your clicks.
You may be helping them game the system, but you just bought yourself lunch or more
GAZELLE: The planet-conscious folks at Gazelle pay cash for your old electronic gadgets. They’ll fork over $100 for iPhone 3GS and upwards of $100 for an old Apple laptop. Plus: free shipping! I wrote a post awhile back about Gazelle and other websites you can visit that will give you cash back for used electronics. Check it out here: “Turn Your Gadgets Into Cash and Help Save the Environment!”
FIVERR: I’ve actually made consistent money with Fiverr in the past. In fact, I had to suspend my gigs because I couldn’t keep up with the orders with everything else I had going on! If you don’t know about Fiverr, the website lets users post their talents for others to buy. You earn $4 (Fiverr nabs the other buck). Talents range from the practical (writing a blog post) to the bizarre (a custom message by an Alec Baldwin impersonator).
The author of The Laptop Millionaire: How Anyone Can Escape the 9 to 5 and Make Money Online, has an entire chapter dedicated to Fiverr. Some of his case studies include folks making thousands of dollars with Fiverr. It’s amazing the creative things people can come up with to make some quick cash. If you haven’t read the Laptop Millionaire by Mark Anastasi, you should. The only negative thing I can say about this book is that there are too many great ideas in it! You will have a heard time deciding which one to implement first!
Again, please feel free to add any additional quick cash websites in the comments section. Thank you!
