[Updated September 16, 2021] I recently purchased a Cricut Maker with the Essentials Tool Set and am in the process of looking for easy Cricut vinyl projects to sell to pay for my new machine.
I’m so excited to finally have this Cricut Maker, in fact, I include the Cricut machine as one of my 10 Fabulous Products For Women That Make Life Better Post!
I’ve been watching hours of Cricut video tutorials on YouTube, as well as joining Cricut Facebook Groups so I can learn everything I can about this machine and its capabilities. I started by making easy Cricut vinyl projects for beginners, but I am quickly improving my skills and am ready to tackle harder projects!
Criteria for Picking Easy Cricut Vinyl Projects to Sell
My first criteria for making easy Cricut vinyl projects to sell is that they have to be simple and inexpensive to ship.
I also have to be able to buy vinyl at a really good price. I purchased these permanent adhesive-backed vinyl sheets inexpensively so I could experiment with a bunch of different colors without breaking the bank. I’m happy to report that these vinyl sheets delivered! I had no problem transferring my designs to my projects using regular Con-Tact brand contact paper (I tried the Cricut brand contact paper but my personal preference is the Con-Tact brand), and being able to weed my designs without additional hassle.
Another criteria I look for is a high-demand product and therefore popular. I want to know that I can keep making the same easy Cricut vinyl projects without having to worry that there’s a slow-down period at some point during the year.
Of course, there are so many Cricut projects to sell that can be made with vinyl–even if you’re a beginner. However, if selling these projects online is the goal, then small, unbreakable, and easy-to-ship items would be my number one priority.
If you want to sell your easy Cricut vinyl products locally like through craft fairs, or to friends, family, and co-workers…even through Facebook Groups or on Instagram, this might be less of a priority. Also, if you want to learn how to start a business the right way using your Cricut machine, then you might want to check out Diving in…30 Days to Your Cricut Business” for step-by-step instructions on what you need to do to start your business.
After doing some research, here are five good Cricut vinyl projects to make and sell:
5 Easy Cricut Vinyl Projects to Make and Sell
1) Pantry Vinyl Labels
Creating pantry vinyl labels is an easy Cricut vinyl project for beginners! What’s great about making pantry vinyl labels, or canister labels is that you can make them in any type of font, color, with or without decoration, big or small. Choose the audience you want to target after doing some research and cater to that market.
Getting Ideas for Pantry Vinyl Labels
To get some easy Cricut ideas on what’s selling on Etsy, check out this pantry labels page. You can also play around with the search results to see how many sellers there are by trying out different keywords. For instance, try searching on “farmhouse pantry labels,” “pantry labels vintage,” or “pantry labels handwritten.” You can also do a keyword search using the word “canister” instead of “pantry.”
In my research, I came across this really nice Farmhouse font bundle that would look really pretty for pantry labels. As an added bonus, it also comes with a commercial use license and permission to be used on unlimited products for sale!

2) Baby Onesie’s Made with Heat Transfer Vinyl
The options for customizing baby onesies with heat transfer vinyl are endless! Just check out the selection on Etsy and you’ll see what I mean. You can do a search for cute sayings on Google, Pinterest, or Amazon, or maybe you have your own. My suggestion would be to come up with sayings that are specific to a niche. For instance, if you took a sports niche or music niche your competition on Etsy goes down (Hint: Check out these products in the skydiving niche!).
Heat Transfer Cricut Vinyl Projects Made Simple
You could make an entire store on Etsy just selling baby onesies. You might even want to invest in the Cricut EasyPress machine to make it easier to apply the heat transfer vinyl instead of using your iron. This Cricut EasyPress Mini is the ideal size for smaller projects like baby clothes! The evenly heated ceramic plate and simple controls let you achieve flawless results every time in about 60 seconds. In addition, I’m partial to Amazon’s Choice of heat transfer vinyl considered a variety pack that includes 20, 12″ x 10″ sheets of assorted colors.
There are really fun fonts and icons with commercial licenses on Creative Market that you can choose from to make your baby onesies. Be sure to sign up for a free account at Creative Market so you can download the free goods they offer every week! Check out this week’s free goods below:

Pick out your favorites then plug them into the Etsy search bar to get a feel for your potential competition. 4) Dish Towels Made with Heat Transfer Vinyl
Decorative dish towels made with heat transfer vinyl are another really easy Cricut vinyl project to make and sell. The designs are endless and can be personalized for so many different niches. Designs for your towels can be purchased on Creative Market, Etsy or TheHungryJPG if you’re still a Cricut vinyl project beginner and are working your way up to making your own designs.

Of course, you can use your iron, but if selling products using heat transfer vinyl is something you plan on doing in volume, then investing in the Cricut EasyPress might make sense.
Some sellers on Etsy sell their designs on traditional cotton dish towels, while others use these flour sack towels. They make great gifts for hostesses, wedding showers, a new home, Holidays, and Mother’s Day. Again, if you’re thinking of making a lot of dishtowels to sell, then look into purchasing dish towels in volume like this set of 28 x 28 white kitchen flour sack dish towels.
