I often visit Barnes and Noble so when I’m there, I’ll look for books that I can buy at a steep discount and resell on Amazon. I even wrote a post about this some time ago titled, “How I Make Money With Barnes & Noble Books.” I’ll always check out the discount tables because it’s there where I might spot a good deal.
I don’t always find books that are discounted enough to make it worth buying them for resale. However, on one particular day, I found two books that were worth it and I decided to purchase three of each book (there were only three left of one of the titles).
These books were selling at Barnes & Noble for $4.98 each plus I got an extra 10% off with my discount card, and they are selling on Amazon.com for over $12.00 (and they have a high Amazon ranking which means they are popular books that should sell quickly).
OK, I’m not rich after this shopping excursion, but if I can make $7 per book (after Amazon takes their share and the extra dollar I make on shipping), then I just walked away with over $40. Not bad for less than an hour’s worth of “work,” doing what I love to do…..shop!
